This class is currently full and open to current class members only We will be accepting new participants into our Level 3 and 4 STEP classes beginning in April. Please see our website for more details beginning March 15, 2010.
Classes are held Thursdays at the Cambridge Armory, 450 Concord Ave, Cambridge, MA (map and directions)
Drop-in classes are for those dog/handler teams who are working on more advanced level work. It's also a great opportunity to train your dog in a distracting environment, get feedback from your peers and our great trainers, and get tips on how to teach your dog new skills or refine old ones! This class is for people wanting to continue in their obedience work, further their training repertoire, explore more advanced classes, all on a drop-in basis. The class includes exercises such as “meet and greet,” figure eights, recalls, loose leash walking and sit for petting. The class also covers heeling, long sits and downs, and finishes. Handlers are welcome to stay and take part in (and learn!) Rally and all appropriate classes during the evening.
Cost: $10 member (6 for $50 with class card), $15 non-member. For one drop-in fee, you may stay for as many classes during the evening as you like! (for example, Advanced Beginner, then Rally) Payment is due on the night of the class--Please see Jean at the front desk (located on the Cambridge St. side of the Armory) to sign-in, and if it's your first time in the armory, fill out a waiver.
Drop-In classes are held every Thursday night from September (after labor day) -June, except for when classes are cancelled for Holidays.
